^^^ just to add to that, psychologists exist with specialties to MMORPG addiction, not a dependence. People make money from dealing with people with Everquest addictions and World of Warcraft addictions. Addicitions can be entirely mental, and not a result of the product itself like nicotine, but more of a mental state "must have".
