Easily, the SNES was the king of RPG's and FFVI was the best of the best.
What it lacked for in gameplay (and I do admit the gameplay was just bad) it by far made up in story, music, and characters. Luckily I don't play RPG's for brilliant gameplay, I play RPG's for brilliant story, music, and above all characters (something RPG's of today seem to lack).
