So what did EA learn from their business failure so far?

I guess the word would be nothing. It is good that fans of the original will be able to play the real sequel though.

They have diversified their catalogue:

Electronic Arts
TRIVIAL PURSUIT™ - March
MySims™ Party - March
EA SPORTS Active™ - May 19
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 10 - June
BOOM BLOX™ Bash Party - Spring
MySims™ Racing - Summer
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ - Summer
G.I. JOE™ The Rise of Cobra - Summer
EA SPORTS Tennis (working title) - Summer

Electronic Arts
BOARD GAME™ - March
MiiSims™ Party - March
WiiSportsClone™ - May 19
Sports Game on all Consoles every year® 10 - June
HighlyPrasedGame™ TurnedPartyGame - Spring
MiiSims™ Kart - Summer
Movie Blockbuster Game on all systems™ - Summer
Movie Blockbuster Game 2 - Summer
WiiSports-Tennis Clone or Generic Sports port from HD console - Summer

Perhaps but I am not seeing EA the same way. I remain unimpressed as far their Wii support goes. Dead Space reallyisn't a series for me and it is unfortunate for this thread that it comes after EA promised more support for the Wii and then announce a Wii version of a Core Series that is just another Rail shooter. To me it does not spell out true support from EA.

However as I said before fans of the series who have played the game already own a PS3/360/PC so they can actually enjoy the Sequel.
