sonys servers always sucked so i would say no. they were down even when socom confrontation was released same was with LBP.

Gears2 and halo 3 say HI.  I guess M$'s servers suck too.

No, it is pear-to-pear system. I have spotted peak level of Halo 3 up to 500.000 k reachable players simultaneously and never had any problem because the game automaticaly recalibrate to the best pear connection. So you can't get disconnected from online games with that system (don't know if it was always the case).

IMO the XBL infrastructure/maintenance is way superior (that is why we are paying btw ).

But we won't bring that debat here, it is not the right place.

@dbot, absolutly true for Gear 2 but the game sold 2.1 millions the first day so ... I don't know if it was avoidable. The matchmaker routine was not perfect either but this is not related to XBL infrastructure.

KZ2 is already the most successful pre-ordered game on PS3, so they will have a couple of problem at the beginning...

halo 3 had major problems at launch just like Gears 2.  Peer to peer is not nearly as good as dedicated servers.  And yes you can get disconnected in Peer to Peer (ever play CoD4 or W@W), in fact it is much more likely than a dedicated server.

Yes, in peer to peer the host can migrate, however this does not mean you wont' get disconnected. Again, every play W@W?
