Holy shit Khuutra. I don't think I've ever spent that much time on a post without it being an OP in a new thread. I think that wall of text should be required reading for new members.
I loved this short-but-sweet quote in particular, and think it sums up life, the universe, and everything:
| Khuutra said: Every single innovation in the industry has been about interaction, and graphics are just a side effect of this shift. When we forget that, we forget the entire point of it! |
I think that was the most effective wall of text I've seen here, from both design and content perspectives. It was split up into small digestible chunks (not much of a wall at all then), with a back-and-forth between white boxes and the grey background, making it easy on the eyes whether I read it or not, and came with Godzilla and Picard, to hold my hands and guide me through the scarier bits. And it had small 2-sentence paragraphs like the one above, which are fast and "radio friendly," like a talking point.
And not only that, you actually let us know you were working on a big post and disappeared for a while, actually hyping up a wall of text. Has anybody even done that before? You're insane!
Congratulations?
