Not really.  The Wii mote craze will have worn off.  Nintendo got away with one this gen but it won't be sustained.

On topic - I believe if Sony actually do this then they are guarrenteed 3rd place next gen. As Soriku said, it will play out exactly as this gen did, except the PS4 won't start with heaps of support, the Wii2 will start with it instead and the 720 will probably have better 3rd party support at launch than the 360
