Who are you nostradamus? How do you know what's going to happen in years time? The gen is over when it's over, stop it with the smartass comments. There will be a "next time" for Sony, you'd be stupid to think there wouldn't be.

For somebody who is accusing another of being overly assuming, doesn't it strike you as just a bit ironic to say "there will be a next time for Sony, you'd be stupid to think there wouldn't be"? That just strikes me as a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Anyway, while we have the delightful truism that nobody knows the future, we also have the counterpoint to that, this little thing we call "pattern recognition". The more intricate the understanding of a pattern, the more feasible it is that you can predict the future. This is the basis of every scientific field in existence, as it so happens. And yes, as it so happens, there are known patterns in market behavior. Quite a lot of them, in fact, even a fair few specific to this industry. And one of the patterns, which you seem to be denying here, is that there has never been a "miracle comeback" for products which fail to obtain market dominance within their first two years on the market.

Learn the known the patterns behind a system before you accuse others of being prophets.
