Even if you could un-install IE, you still can get on the internet, by using a windows explorer. Just open up My Computer and there is an address bar that you can type a web address into and get to the WWW.
OT: It would have been nice to have a choice as to which browser I could have when I ordered my PC. But I know how to download a new browser, the average PC user might not. Now, with that said, the average PC user would probably still pick IE, but giving them a choic is what matters.
