The phrase 'begs the question' is incorrectly used very frequently on this site, and I wish to see an end to this.

 

Begging the question refers to a logical fallacy in which you assume what you are trying to prove.

 

The use of begs the question to mean 'raises the question' as seen in the thread title is incorrect
