Sony needs to lower the freekin price. You posed a topic about a bluray-less ps3 earlier today...I got my hopes up till I figured it was not true.

Games are there, just the extra shit coming with the ps3 is not something a gamer-only like myself needs

I disagree with you here. If I have to pay for "extra shit" I'd rather it be a bluray player then a propritary Hard drive/online gaming fee/bateries for my conrtollers. And Sony doesn't need to have a firesale pricedrop they can wait because they know that $300 PS3 will outsell 360 no matter how you spin it.

not unless the Arcade droped to $150 and you can bet that will not happen in 2009.

At this point, 300 ps3 could potentially ousell a 199 360 but even if it does, its only because it has bluray. Something I dont want. However since 360 doesn't have bluray and can be 150 by the time sony gets to 300. Its a battle sony can't win really...

In any case, Sony needs to understand where PS3 fits in with a large group of gamers, especially in the US where they are far behind in sales.

A lot of us have the 360 that plays pretty much all of the same multiplat games as ps3. Plus, most of our freinds are on the 360. The only games left for us to play and buy the ps3 for are the sony exclusives. They need to understand that if they want our gaming dollar to be spent on those exclusives they need to provide a cheaper means of playing them...in this case buying their system. Our media stuff, gaming clans, multiplayer games...they are already set in stone on the 360.

Some one who is set on the PS3 and wants to play a few 360 exclusives can buy a 360 arcade for cheap. The same cant be said for vice versa.
