I got a call on Monday from Reggie Fils-Aimé, and he told me Nintendo will officially make all new Wiis without the compatibility of Wii Optical Discs.
Here is an exact quote from the conversation.
"The exclusion of the games on Wii will bring down the cost and give people more time to use the Wii for what it was meant for, and that is looking at boobies on the internets."
