Can you remove the BR player without removing the ability to remove BR data disks?
That is the question -- and I would think it would be no. But then again, I don't know how much is being included in the movie playback end of the hardware.
What truly makes no sense though is that Sony went with this format to defeat HD-DVD. Now that is has won that "war" -- taking such an action does not seem to make any sense because they lose a key console selling point.
