i bought almost all those dreamcast games not long after they came out and didn't own a PS2 for quite a long time after that so i'm not part of the reason but i agree with this.
It really was to sega's downfall that they made all these great games. Consider that sega had a million seller each year with it's NFL franchise on DC with ease, but had trouble getting a 50-70 million dollar budget game to get far past a million.
