Well Sega could still be making and selling those games....if they combined them with a popular franchise character.
Just stick Sonic in the games and call them Sonic Dragon Flyers and Sonic's Graffiti Chaos (and then include a secondary mode for the hardcore replacing Sonic and co with the characters they intended to use).
