X-Play (and Attack of the Show) scaled back in G-4 budget cuts.

It has been such since shortly after they acquired TechTV, killed many of my favorite shows, and I discovered how much of a jerk Kevin Pereira is.

X-Play is the only thing left on G4 I could possibly care about but meh, I'd rather not even give G4 an extra viewer rating.

 

I think Comcast has been trying to turn G4 into an alternative to Spike rather than a technology-driven network which it started out to be.

Of course, Spike started its life as The Nashville Network, so change is inevitable in cable TV. But since Spike (nee TNN) started sooner, it has a more favorbale "dial" position -- until the providers move everything but local TV and legally required public access to digital.
