Tales of Vesperia. It has the best plot and characters of any of the Tales titles that I have played. Yuri Lowell is one of the best protagonists in recent JRPG history.

I was so set to argue this until I realized jRPG doesn't include sRPGs.

 Adell is not as great of a character as Yuri.

I could argue otherwise but considering he isn't "recent" I don't think he would qualify anyway.

Believe me i played Disgaea 2 and loved it and i can still tell you Yuri is a way better protagonist then Adell and ToV is also a better game then Disgaea 2.
