I was just playing Super Mario Galaxy, and the framerate dropped to 30 during some starry explosions. I feel pretty jarred by the whole thing. I think I'm gonna be sick.

Go on. Discuss this gaming travesty. I will be heading to the restroom until I feel better.

LOL! You noticed that too? I figured I was the only that saw the framerate dip when a lot of explosions go off. The only thing is framerate dips for a FPS is a much more serious problem as it can lead to death, while the dip for SMG is typically when you're doing that bomb the trash minigame or while you're flying through the air so it's not getting in the way of gameplay.

Wow, so you admit that Wii games have framerate problems and yet make an excuse that it won't cause any gameplay problems? I think we're getting somewhere!

Tell me why reviews don't point out these framerate problems. Tell me why I never died in multiplayer due to frame rate problems. Is it possible that it's a non-issue, as I said originally?

Because I never said Wii games don't have framerate issues maybe? And I made the point of how framerate dips can make issues in FPS games vs the two places where SMG has framerate dips, one being non gameplay, the other is just one single minigame that lasts 10 seconds and only happens if you have about 4 bombs go off at once.

Also I never said it couldn't be a non-issue for Killzone 2, but giving the evidence provided as well as playing it myself, it could turn up, you're the one not wanting to admit it could get in the way and bitch at everyone else when they give evidence and try to say they haven't played the things you played cause getting in the beta was so hard that most PS3 owners on this site were even on it...

Hey man, thanks for admitting that Wii games have frame rate problems. I'll quote you on that every time the claim is brought up that Wii games are flawless.

As for your point that it could be a problem in KZ2...well, it hasn't been in reviews or my hundreds of hours of playing it, so I don't think it'll suddenly be a problem out of nowhere just because some of you seem to want there to be.

For every game on earth that hasn't been released you could say "it could have problems." You can always say "it has tons of problems" for a released game. But if 99% of everyone else disagrees, that should be a hint...

This whole situation is just mind boggling.  I mean for years now people have put down this game.  I didn't have high expectations for it.  I'm not a fan of the series because I have not played KZ1 or KZ:L.  But all the negative comments were about how GG can't code and that it's destined to disappoint.  Well, having not played KZ2 yet because it didn't exist, I couldn't disagree except to say that it's possible.  Except a funny thing happened...it was reviewed to be a AAA game.  Now what to people do about it?  They try to bring up issues that no reviewer seemed bothered by.  Why is that?  Thousands of people played the beta and loved it and reported no frame rate problems.  There were tons of server issues and freezes.  I hope those are fixed.  But this entire thread and many others just seem aimed at tearing down a game any way people can because they can no longer point to reviews of Killzone 1 and say that the sequel is destined to suck.
