What would be the overall result of a stalemate between Wii and PS3 in Japan?

I don't really see a stalemate happening. The Wii had a good initial push and turned the JRPG developers attention. Now we see a whole bunch of JRPG's announced. When these come out, I think the stalemate will be over.
