Congratulations Killzone 2. The one game we really needed, as an industry, was an online shooter with the key innovation of "better graphics." Groundbreaking, really. The next "flying car" for the industry shall, I predict, be a golf game with more courses.

Edit:

To clarify, I'm commenting here on the unfortunate circumstance of games like LBP, which though innovative, travel through the industry unnoticed, while games like Killzone 2, which bring a relatively weak single player campaign accompanied with very predictable improvements in graphical technology, turn the industry on its head, with their popularity(of which gametrailers is no real indication). Sure, it's beating a dead horse, but it was my choice to do so in this case, and thus I've explained my statements, and how they relate to this topic, which proclaims the popularity of this game. That is all.

LBP has sold more than 1.5 million. Since when did selling "platinum" status indicate traveling through the industry unnoticed?
