This is true to a degree, but the focus isn't just on FPS games. We own 30+ games on the 360 but about 10 are "shooters". Beautiful Katamari, Fable II, Oblivion, Lost Odyssey, etc. don't fit the mold and many of them are 3rd party games.
I don't really expect MS to try and compete head on with Nintendo, so I also own a Wii for party games, Mario, side-scrollers, etc.
So, while it would be nice to have a platform that "has it all", I'm not expecting it. Even the mighty PS2 didn't have much in the way of "shooters".
And to Lord N, your point about the 360 not having that large a user base or not having high volume of software sales is baffling. Yes, compared to the PS2, NONE of the current consoles has a large user base. But you make it sound as if the 360 software sales are weak, which is ridiculous. Does the Wii or the PS3 have better sales, overall?
