If I own a Wii and am not playing it as much as similar gamers are playing their PS3 or XBox 360 does that mean that I don't exist, don't want to buy games for my Wii, or companies have not effectively catered to my desires for games on that system?

Why not just get a game system with games you want to play games on then? The Wii is pretty much a gaming-only device, if you don't like the games enough...

I think it's mostly the content which attracts users, so if there are primarily kid games for a console, like was the case for the GameCube, it's not suprising Nintendo's data showed the platform was dominated by kids. Nintendo's main mascots are all cute and very much kid targeted. Specifications don't matter as much as many young kids aren't allowed online nor have a HDTV in their bedroom...

Believe what you want to believe, but I didn't see you arguing that mascot characters like Ratchet and Clank and Sackboy would only sell to children a couple of months ago.

The truth is that many gamers bought the Wii because they thought the idea of the Wii was cool, saw the potential in games like Red Steel and Resident Evil 4, have waited patiently and bought games in levels far above developers expectations (No More Heroes, Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles) and are wondering why developers have not released quality games in genres where there is demand for them.

Sure, I'm sure there is a lot of people like what you described.

But to suggest anything other than the truth of the matter is the Wii has a far larger amount of young kids/women/casuals than the other two systems and is geared as such would be an outright lie.
