While what you say is true about HD development costs...I dont think Developers and Publishers care about this...they will just release some crappy game on Wii...it sells and there you go you made your money back that you wasted developing HD games....
HD gaming is the future wether people like it or not...everything when it first comes out cost money...DVD Players cost alot of money when they came out...Blue Rays...MP3...CD's...Computers...it's just reality...new technology cost alot of money....put up with it or get out the game....
Next generation you will see the costs of making HD games come down drastically...and Nintendo WILL be in the HD gaming market most definitely next generation...
