Not at all, you're making things up here.
You seem to think, that I think consoles easily affordable to (or very suitable for) children is bad (or as presents from parents, etc). But it's actually quite to the contrary. I was just sharing some research data.
FYI Mario64 and Super Mario World are amongst my all-time favourites. I was advocating consumer choice, I never owned a PS2, GameCube or XBox. This generation of consoles IMO there is better and more choice available to pick the console which best suits your personal preferences (due to the differences).
