I was bugging my little brother and "borrowed" his Nick magazine, and found a slightly amuzing article that asked what if video game characters had favorite players. Here were the four:
1. Character
Jigglypuff (Super Smash Brothers Brawl)
Jigglypuff's favorite player: Davey Darno, age 9, Boston, Massachusetts
Why? Davey is an extremely talented brawler and always uses Jigglypuff to leave his opponents sweating, broken, and with zeros in the win column.
Jigglypuff says (translated from Pokemese): "Most people just see me as an adorable pink puff that sings, and I'm sick of it! Davey knows a true warrier when he sees one!"
2. Character
Sammy Saunders (The Sims)
Saandy's favorite player: Tracy Van Dorn, age 11, Tulsa, Oklahoma
Why? Because Tracy knows exacly what her Sims need. As they say, love is the same in every language.
Sammy says: "Rish raw, do minna yah. Ip so do-na rin rah, disi dah.... Geega don ban roosh, ista bee da sen der dan, feer bar voose. En yo blad!" (Translation: "Tracy always makes sure that we're well fed, rested, clean, even entertained... With Tracy around, I never have to worry about my dad accidentally wetting himself!")
They also have least favorite players...
3. Character
Mario (Super Mario Galaxy)
Mario's least favorite player: Katie Conners, age 8, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Why? No matter how many free lives Katie gets, she immediately loses them all and never comes close to making simple, entry-level jumps.
Mario says: "Mamma mia! This kid, she's so slow with the A button that she makes the princess waits for me extra long! Peach, don't blame me or Bowser, blame Katie Conners!"
4. Character
Lars Umulaut (Guitar Hero: World Tour)
Lars' least favorite character: Joey Sinclair, age 10, Carson City, Nevada
Why? Joey's lack of musical mojo has cost Lars gig after gig and forced him to change bands countless times.
Lars says: "That Joey makes me look like an idiot onstage every single night! And he chooses the same songs over and over again and still can't master them! Most of the audience has been scared away. Because of him, I'm thinking of quitting the band and taking up...I dunno...maybe the accordion.
It was sort of funny, but I bet you guys are WAAAAY better then that. I want to laugh!
