The Windows version is buddy, Apple has been working longer and harder on Safari over the years then M$ has on vista. 80% of what you said is true about the windows version, not true, fixed, or opinions. Windows =FF AND Opera. Mac = FF and Safari Linux = FF and Opera

I don't know anything about the windows version I used it once. I have however used Safari on numerous occasions and still do but I always use FF because Safari has had numerous issues with me. I didn't even mention my own problems with Safari only listing problems that are known with it. I mean if you like using Safari go for it, I know people that like using IE7 it is no big deal real each browser has its own strengths and weakness and most people like familiarity.

I seriously doubt though that Apple worked harder on Safari than MS did Vista. Their were leaked copies of the beta(longhorne on the net in 2002). they didn't have the Aero feature which was promised but they had all the goodies like instant file search(which became Spotlight in 10.4) sidebar(which became widgets in 10.4) and even features they did not implement that were really impressive but very resource intensive. A comment like that makes you sound like a hack or someone who wants to be cool just because they don't use MS. My opinion of both Apple and MS  is that they are both thieves.

Neither one has really ever come up with an inventive idea that wasn't directly ripped off other comptetitors.Apple people saw Xerox Star and made the Apple Lisa which looked exactly like the Xerox Star except was way less advance and since then the top OSs just steal ideas from others msjet.dll was stolen from Armado. The thing is for me MS OS's run faster than Apple OS are just as stable if not more so every I have seen quite a few multi lingual grey screens(not too mention OS Xs funky kernel micro kernel) using adobe on my Mac oh and don't have the ego problems that apple does.

Back on topic  Opera/Firefox are the best most flexible and scalable IE browsers. IE 7 has the best compatability except for a few hacker sites(which also ban Safari BTW) due to how easy it is to exploit or crash using a single line of code....The feeling is anyone going there would be smart enough not to use those too
