I just want variety in games. Variety in character, Variety in Enviroment, Variety in story, Variety in gameplay, and not the lets crank them out shooters we see today.

And as far as story goes he lost me when he started praising MGS4. Hideo may have some good ideas but he has the writing talent and directing talent of Uwe Boll with the ego of George Lucas. MGS4 cutscenes could have been majorly cut and condensed and it would have made for a much better game.

Of course as pointed out earlier this is another fad. Remember first it was R-Type Style shooters that came out every other day. Than Mascot Style platformers thanks to Sonic in the SNES era and so forth.

One day you will have games that have adult themes similiar to There Will Be Blood. But tht is a ways away.


Oh and SSJ12 KZ2 would have to retcon the story for the masks if they have to wear them on the home planet.

 

Let me tell you one thing little man. When you buy MGS you buy the Hideo Kojime package. Either you like it or you don`t. But when you say he has bad writing and directing skill, you are disgracing the humanity.

You are correct when you buy a MGS game you are buying the Hideo Kojima Package. You would also be correct that there are literally thousands of people who love his work to death. The whole thing. You do not have to be a skilled director or editor or writer to achieve this. You have to be an idea man and plenty of things outside of games have survived by just ideas. Some movies like Night of the Living Dead(and one of my favorite films) are classics but really have bad writing, acting and editing in every sense but the idea is bigger than that.

 

Well Kos-mos Hideo Kojima is not a good writer, he is not a good director, and he is not a good editor. He may be a good idea man and with that and high production value he is able ot overcome his other weakness making it more so a you"buy Hideo Kojima" package or not. You love his ideas and in a game ideas can count for more than not
