Guys. Don't go in expecting a GTA game. This is more like, GTA meets Final Fantasy.

It's a cross between a open world game and a RPG. You improve, learn skills etc. You get missions, side missions encounter random people you fight in the streets, play mini games (there are a lot of those) and follow the main story. (and multiple side stories)

You do not steal cars randomly, beat down random innocent people wreck random havok etc.
Like i said, it's a cross between a open world game and a rpg. It's not really a sandbox game.

I found it awesome. I was a little dissapointed that running animations weren't completely smoothened out (as a transition for walk/run) and that they hadn't voiced everything. It's a lot like the old games, which were great, but with a insane graphical overhaul and a more seamless and smooth gameplay-look. They did a lot of work with the atmosphere and stuff. The combat feels like yakuza 2 with minimal changes. I would have liked to see a few more upgrades on this area, but with all the stuff you improve during the game i doubt it's going to be a issue. You'll get used to the combat and when you have, it's quite awesome.

Overall i'd rate the demo 8.5 of 10. But that's with the knowledge of yakuza 2 and a feeling of what to expect from the full game. The demo was a very small taste :p

But like i said. Don't expect a grand theft auto in tokyo. It isn't that kind of game.

Those are my impressions. I've played yakuza 2 but not the first game.
