The problem in Afghanistan is not that there aren't enough countries or troops to get the job done, the problem is that the support from the countries that are there is fairly limited and they refuse to put their troops in a position where they could even get a papercut. This has left the handful of countries which are actually willing to participate in the conflict (Canada being one of them) in the position where they're alone in the most violent regions of the country.
