Street Fighter II or Street Fighter IV?

Ok, I should clarify my opinion a little.

I think SF4 will ultimately be what you want. However, from what it sounds like, you're not that hardcore into it. That said, I'd recommend Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. SF4 is more like SF2 than 3rd strike. Basically, you can play SF 2 and get a good feel for how 4 is going to play (obviously, theres differences, but they're not as major as the differences between 3rd strike and 4).

In a few months time, you can pick up 4 at a discounted price, maybe a used copy, and you'll already have a little experience getting back into Street Fighter, so playing 4 will be a little easier than if you had jumped straight into it.

It'll also be cheaper in the long run. If you get 2 and decide you'd like to start playing the game a little more, you can plan to get a used copy of 4 like I said. If you get 2 and decide you're only going to play it here or there and don't really want to get into Street Fighter again, you've only spent $15, not $60, and you can avoid the larger price tag - even for a used copy.
