Cakewalk or Garage Band

Personally I'd say Garageband. For simplicity it just can't be beaten imo. Cakewalk (at least when I used to use it...) was more of a MIDI sequencer than a full blown digital recording suite. Of course, Logic Pro needs a mention :)
