Yamauchi who makes the GT games wants realistic damage in his games and not arcade damage such as you would find in Forza. So with that said the car companies are just not allowing Yamauchi to add damage to their cars in the game. They are saying arcade damage is fine but PD do not want that so I do not see damage being implemented into the game. Something has happened at PD anyway which is said to be huge, we shall soon see if it is GT5 damage, the game being ready, weather or something else. |
I thought the reason they have the hurdles around damage is because unlike other devs, Polyphony doesn't pay for the licenses to use the cars, it's just given to them, thus the car maker gets to make some limitations.
Really though, this game needs to get moving and out the door by November. Enough is enough.
