2k8 is more sim, and 08 is more arcade from what i saw. Reviews on the run gave each game about a 9, but 08 got the slight advantage for being more user friendly from what i remember. IGN also said 08 has frame rate problems on the PS3 version.
I just read the review at 1up for 2K8 don't listen to the guys review he is a retard.
I just went over to gamerankings to see what they gave the other version for the 360, 2K6 70%, 2K7 65%, 2K8 40%. As you can tell they hate the 2K hockey series. If you want more proof they hate 2K, 2K6 overall 75.1%, 2K7 overall 79.2%. Now this years 2K hockey is better then last years one in every way. It will score over 80% and the guy at 1up will then be fired.
