The NBA sucks because the superstars are bigger than the game itself. And it's not really anyone's fault, it's just the nature of the game, one superstar can basically make a team great all by himself (see LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers). NCAA basketball is way better, but it too is declining since all the top players only stay for one year before moving on the black hole of the NBA.
Of course every single professional sports league pales in comparison to the NFL.
