FF has already taken the right direction with XII and I dont see much they can change now. DQIX was meant to be different from previous DQ games, but fans didnt want it so its devs got rid of their new ideas, therefore it's safe to say that DQX will also be absolutely traditional. Versus XIII/KH I dont know what should they change, it works fine the way it is.

In short I think big jRPG franchises will not try to innovate because there is just no reason for them to (they sell well) Some small jRPG devs will probably try to make something new but their efforts will be ignored (as usual)

The only way the genre can change its direction is if some brand new innovative jRPG game appears and gets to the real commercial success. But this is not going to happen.

I think Tales Of Ten can do it, i just get that feeling it could.
