Yeah, I had to learn that myself. I posted countless threads to get answers. And developers do care about the console userbase. If its huge then they think they can make a good game and get some users out of that huge console base. But if not then its harder for them to get those fans to like their games. Also to take into consideration, third-party game sales also make a huge difference on third parties supporting your system. If their games isn't selling well or more consumers purchase first-party games then third parties will drop support on the console and go to the console with third party games that are selling.
