Wiimotes seem to last longer, because waggle is more durable, and replaces much of the button/control stick action of other consoles. My classic controller is doing fine, my GC controllers are starting to develop floppy sticks from nearly a decade of use.
My Genesis, Snes and Master System controllers are all fine, a couple of sticky buttons but generally ok
