I had a Megadrive.
I wasn't really into gaming so much then though so this question doesn't really apply. I had 4 Micro Machines games and a PGA gold game I played regularly-ish.... which would have been the same on either console.
Had i been a gamer back then I would have gone for the SNES I think... Mario Kart and pilotwings beats out Streets of Rage and Sonic for me.
