I agree with more achievement tracking – I’m not one to look up the requirements for the different achievements in a game, but if I’m alerted to the fact that I’m well on my way, I’ll be more inclined to go out of my way to get them.
I think MS has some way to go in getting people to actually care about achievements, adding extra 'non-gaming' ways to increase a superfluous number, which seems solely about bragging rights, demeans its significance and largely makes acquiring them futile as you’re no longer in the upper echelon of gamer status through your fine-tuned skills but through watching more DVDs. They need to make me care about earning achievements. In-game rewards, avatar clothing and more importantly MS point rewards are far better suggestions.
