If sony does not drop prices soon, they will sponsor a price drop for samsung's blu-ray player, b/c this high-def dvd business is going to be easy money once a winner finally appears

 
Actually, the $500 PS3 is the cheapest Blu-ray player out there.  And it includes a HDD, the ability to surf the Internet, and plays games.  The only thing it has going against it is the lack of an included remote control (simple one for playing movies) and those add-on ones aren't cheap.

I haven't been able to find any of the $500 models for a while now, but perhaps that is only my area.
