The reason Infinite Undiscovery was average was not because of the name, it was because of the gameplay, poor pacing, and general poor game design. I am still going to get this game, but I am not as excited as I would have been if tri-ace had not just made IU and it is getting average reviews (though that remains to be seen)

I actually thought the gameplay was the redeeming factor for IU. In my opinion, it was the dialogue, the fact that there were a handful of characters who were not developed AT ALL, and the very up and down voice work that killed the game.

On topic though, I agree with ClaudeLv250. Those who are bashing this game for a 7 (which most rational people would consider a good score), either are not a fan of the series, or are doing it out of spite. Plus, SO games have always had much higher player reception then critical reception.

That review was informative enough without the score. The score is what hinders otherwise good games from being as popular as they should be. It's sad that when a big release gets anything lower than a nine, we see half the idiots screaming that it should have been higher, and the other half screaming that the game isn't good. Pathetic.

SO3 had a slightly better critical reception than player reception if I'm correct.

BTW, what is considered "bad" dialogue?  I'm not exactly a writing expert so I wouldn't know.  I do know that Gears of War 2 had some cringe worthy dialogue.  Other than that though, I can't seem to figure out the difference between bad and good dialogue.
