Sounds like FiOS must be doing something right, because I am rated at 20mbps, but constantly have about 21-23Mbps speeds. Downloads through good servers like Microsofts I see about 3-4MB (32Mb) every 3 seconds or so.
I definitely agree that digital distribution will wait at least another generation. Check out my thread on The Next Xbox. It's an interesting article by Extreme-Tech that pretty much matches my beliefs of what the next Xbox should have.
