Could World of Warcraft or a next-gen MMO work on a console?

One of the good things about WoW is that it could be ported to any console with little problem.  It is in no way at all a resource hog and even looks good on low settings so even the Wii wouldn't be a problem.  All they would need to do is find a good control scheme.

Interesting! Btw, isn't Age of Conan meant to be coming to an Xbox 360 near twesterm? Well maybe, I heard that game had some troubles.

I haven't played WoW, any chance your average player could do it with a controller and a mic?
