not really, entertainment is paramount for an escape from an individual's struggles.  You need the best, not just good enough. For only 75-100 dollars more you get a blu-ray player.

 

When it's a recession, going on depression, you'll settle for good enough. Also, it's not $75-$100 more, because everyone already has DVD players. it's whatever the full cost of a player is... and unless someone has a nice HD-TV, it's not worth it.
