That part is completely true, but there is one more reason i think digital distribution is far from now, and that is game exchange, i have no idea why this is never metioned, if i download a game i cant lend it or exchange it, that is very important for people i know, but i guess that in US everyone pays for a rented game rather than ask for a friend to lend it.
