Comments like "as if it was the second comming of christ" and "being dellution" aren't ban worthy? 

And it's not like this was his first ban.  He was warned TWICE for similar comments, then banned for three days, then banned for five days, then banned for seven days, then banned for 14.

I was only responsible for two of those, fyi.

 

No they are not and even if they are there is far worse crap swung around than this.

It like arresting a person for littering when there is a murder going on beside him.

 

I got a ban from him for making a comment in the same direction, you know the vicious overhype cycle some people experience over and over (notice there are no brands or franchises in this line, so it could potentially apply to anyone and everyone, I'm not implicitly nor explicitly mentioning any collective nor any game IP).

If he doesn't like that kind of comments, well he's a mod so he has the right to strike the banhammer. But at least he could put up a sticky warning about it. You know, "Things I consider trolling" something along these lines.
