Well GT4 sold 9 million copies.
IF less than 1 million of them currently own a PS3 AND the remaining 8+ million feel it's worth the upgrade, then YES it IS possible. Unlikely I think, but possible.
I'm sure Nintendo franchise games pushed this kind of demand.
