What makes you think that JRPGs wil sell better on a console thats doing WORSE then the other console in Europe? At best it'd sell close to the same. You might want to narrow that back down to Japan -> Europe + America, in which I can say no it does not. |
Software wise the PS3 is doing well in Europe and when you look at the charts of most European country's like Spain, Italy, France, The Netherlands and a couple more I still see more PS3 titles than XBox 360, but it doesn't really matter.
I haven't sayd that J-rpg's would sell better on the PS3, but Japanese games are more commonly associated with the PS branch in Europe than they are with the Xbox branch and until now the J-rpg's have pretty much all flopped on this region. After a month you can also find most of those games for about half the price, and I guess that's how they sometimes get past the 100k mark, which is really sad.
Perhaps the XBox 360 is doing now better than PS3 in Europe, but what I'm saying is that the situation here much better for the PS3 and that the situation isnt similar'to America's one, heck, there are just a couple of thousands more XBox 360 sold in Europe, and it can change at anytime, unlike America where the PS3 will likely never catch the XBox 360 or at least not in the next three years.
You should also take in mind that a lot of the PS3 owners and Sony fans are RPG fans, just like many Nintendo fans are platform fans.
