I heard more along the lines that SE wasn't going to do a new Chrono game, but was going to sell it, and the Ogre Battle IP off, and give them to Mistwaker/Feel Plus to do. The rumored name was like Chrono Gaiden, or something like that.

With the bad blood between the two companies, I have a hard time seeing SE sell anything to Mistwalker.

It would be cool, though.
