I spend about 800+$ a month on gaming so that's about 9500+ overall, though there is some small fluctuations month to month on my spending. My highest month was when I bought an arcade for 2000+, plus a few other games so it came out above 2.3 grand.

Honestly, that's getting into addiction territory. Even allowing for a $2000 PC purchase (and even that's not a great buy, since you can put together a really good PC for under $1000), that's still $4000 on gaming. That works out to something like 65+ games at $60 each! Seriously, how many hours a week are you spending on gaming?

Why not buy some games used? Or try Gamefly? There are tons of ways to acquire games without spending an arm and a leg.

Believe it or not, some people don't want to  learn or be bothered building their own PC's. I also prefer owning my games on launch day so gamefly etc wouldn't work in my case or for many others.
