why don't you save up another $40 dollars and buy a brand new Arcade unit instead, personally i don't trust refurbished Xbox 360 specially the early models..

About taxes it all depends where you live, here in New York is 8.3% taxes ..

You don't seem to be in a budget if your deciding to buy accessories ..

Wireless adapter = $100
512MB memory unit= $50
60gig HDD= $100
Rechargeable batteries= $12.00
Quick Charging kit= $30.00
Head set= $20.00
Live Gold card= $50.00
Wireless head set= $60.00
Extra controller= $50.00
Messenger keyboard= $30.00..

If I'm you I'd stick with a Pro model is cheaper in the long run.

You do realize you can get a lot of the stuff above for much less than the prices you have quoted right (just look a tiny bit).  Just look around online at reputable places like newegg and you can find it.   You can get the 13 month live cards at newegg free shipping for around $35-39 and the messenger keypad for $25, Wireless controllers for $38, and wireless network adapter for $87.  (all of those were on newegg and most were free shipping)

You can get a 20gb 360 hd for under $40 on ebay.
